Fashion at Amman Design Week 2026

Six Free Workshops and Programmes to Sign Up For

fashion at amman design week

Amman Design Week is back. After a gap of six years, the festival returns from 2 to 17 October 2026 for its fourth edition, under the theme Accumulations: an idea about how materials and culture build up over time, through effort and knowledge.

Most of the programme is architecture, materials and product design. But inside it sits a strong fashion strand, and it is one of the few times this year that people working in fashion in Jordan can learn, make and meet in the same place. We went through the programme and pulled out the six fashion events worth signing up for. All of them are free.

1. Sustainable Fashion Lab

A practical workshop on turning discarded materials into new fashion ideas through upcycling and circular design. A good starting point if you have never worked with secondhand or waste materials before.

When: Saturday 3 October, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Picasso School of Arts, Sweifieh
Language: Arabic

Register Here

2. Conceptual Fashion

A workshop that treats fashion as artistic expression, not only as something to wear. Participants work with abstraction, symbolism and narrative to build conceptual fashion ideas.

When: Monday 5 October, 4 to 6 p.m.
Where: Picasso School of Arts, Sweifieh
Language: Arabic

Register Here

3. Fashion, Identity and Culture

A workshop on how personal, social and cultural identity shapes what we wear and what we design. Participants develop concepts drawn from belonging, heritage and their own experience.

When: Thursday 8 October, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Picasso School of Arts, Sweifieh
Language: Arabic

Register Here

4. A Trace of a Leaf: Introduction to Botanical Printing

A hands-on session with Ola Muhanna on natural dyeing and botanical printing, using leaves and discarded food materials to print directly onto fabric. It takes place in one of Jabal Al Lweibdeh’s heritage homes, which joins Amman Design Week as a venue for the first time this year.

When: Thursday 8 October, 2 to 6 p.m.
Where: The Workshop, Darat Abu Adnan, Jabal Al Lweibdeh
Language: Arabic and English

Register Here

5. Style the Surface

The biggest single evening in the fashion programme: two panel discussions and a practical workshop covering styling, lighting, casting, framing, identity and fashion branding. For stylists, photographers, and anyone building a brand’s image.

When: Thursday 15 October, 6 to 11 p.m.
Where: DEDLINE Creative Workspaces, Fifth Circle
Language: Arabic and English

Register Here or call 0799270721

6. Navigating the Fashion Ecosystem: From Concept to Scale

A three-day programme for emerging designers and fashion brands, covering production, material sourcing, digital marketing and regional logistics. If you are running a brand or about to launch one, this is the one to prioritise.

When: Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 October, 5 to 8 p.m. each day
Where: Bayt Al-Khayt, Abdali
Language: Arabic and English

Planning your two weeks

Two dates need a decision.

On 8 October, botanical printing finishes at 6 p.m. in Jabal Al Lweibdeh, just as Fashion, Identity and Culture starts in Sweifieh. Pick one, or expect to arrive late to the second.

On 15 October, the first day of Navigating the Fashion Ecosystem overlaps with Style the Surface. Brand owners will get more from the three-day programme. Stylists and image makers should head to Style the Surface, then join the programme on the 16th and 17th.

Workshops with hands-on making often have limited places, so register early to book your spot.

Why this matters

Most people who want to learn fashion in Jordan have had to pay for it, travel for it, or teach themselves. For two weeks in October, the doors open. The rooms are free, the teachers are here, and the city is the classroom. Go to one. Go to all six. And bring the friend who keeps saying one day.
